There are two different account options for creators: Vocal will always offer a free account option, which allows you to publish your stories, earn money, and collect tips at no cost. We've also introduced Vocal+, which is an optional paid membership for creators that gives you access to additional benefits, like higher monetization, early access to new features, and more.
Here are a few of the differences between a Vocal Free account and a Vocal+ account, to help decide which one is right for you:
- Vocal+ members earn $6 per 1,000 reads on their stories. Free users earn $3.80 per 1,000 reads on their stories.
- Vocal+ members have a 2.9% transaction fee deducted from tips they receive. Free users have a 7% transaction fee on tips.
- Vocal+ members have exclusive access to certain Challenges.
- Vocal+ members get early access to certain new features before they're rolled out to the rest of the platform.
